On a separate sheet of paper create an illustrated timeline to show how the characteristics of the Roman Republic changed over time.
Include the following:
1. Title your timeline “Rise of the Roman Republic”
2. These dates: 616 B.C.E., 509 B.C.E., 494 B.C.E., 451 B.C.E., 287 B.C.E.
3. a one-sentence summary for each date, explaining how the event changed government in the Roman Republic
4. a simple illustration or symbol for each date
Then write a paragraph ( 5 sentences ) that answers the following question.
How were the Plebeians treated unfairly? What actions did they take to change their situation? Were their actions successful?
